Piu mosso

piu mosso: a directive to perform with more movement; livelier.

Eclectic woodwind duo, Juliana and Megan first met in stage band rehearsals at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts way back in the mid-90s. They then went their separate ways, never realising that fate would throw them together in a small village near Jervis Bay nearly 25 years later…

With a range of influences from high art through to psychology through to popular culture, Piu mosso weave a sonic canvas for audiences to paint with their own interpretations.

Piu mosso have performed at many events throughout the Shoalhaven, including SeeChange 2019, small gatherings hosted by Annette Tesoriero in Nowra, and the Reflect and Heal event at Eurobodalla Botanical Gardens in May 2021. They also enjoy scaling things down and keeping it casual, like at their recent performance for Make Music Day 2021 at our studio in Sanctuary Point.
